The MediaNXS Advantage
MediaNXS software provides a bridge between the digital intermediate world and the real world.

Capture from SDI/HD-SDI, batch capture from VTR, and import from almost any file format. Build timelines and output multiple versions to tape or industry standard media files. Monitor and analyze input signals or digital files and convert/transcode between all your digital intermediate tools.

Industry Standard Formats

MediaNXS creates standard, non-proprietary file types indistinguishable from those created on native hardware.

Directly capture DPX, YUV, Cineon, MOV, AVI, MXF, TGA, TIFF and DV files in compressed and uncompressed SD, HD and 2K.

It's Supported

All signal and file formats are supported with the same version. SD, HD, Digital Cinema and 2K Film all from one interface.

Automatic 8 and 10 bit RGB and YCbCr conversions where necessary, and broadcast quality up, down and cross-conversions are included.

MediaNXS For Your Facility

Batch Control External VTRs In and Out

MediaNXS controls external VTRs for frame accurate EDL based pull-ins and multiclip timeline based laybacks.

Automatically create timelines through EDL batch capture. Exchange and edit timeline components for multiple distributables. Lay back the timeline in one pass and export a matching EDL.

Signal Analysis and Measurement

Built into MediaNXS are preview, vectorscope, waveform (YCbCr/RGB) and histogram monitors. Single link or dual link (hardware-dependent), RGB or YCbCr and file monitoring are supported.

Monitor black and white levels, luminance, chrominance, with alarms. Also view both chroma and luma using Drastic’s vectorscope and exclusive “Luma Stick”!

Application Compatibility and Conversion

MediaNXS not only provides physical I/O, it also provides transcoding between your digital intermediary software. Direct support for Smoke/Flame, Assimilate Scratch, Nuke, Final Cut Pro, Avid editors, Premiere Pro, Digital Fusion, After Effects, Shake, Motion, Combustion and many more.

MediaNXS files, both compressed and uncompressed, are supported directly by these applications. This means no extra steps in moving media between your software and the real world.
