The Titan Series™ digital disk recorders

The Titan Series™ digital disk recorders represent the latest in digital disk recorder functionality, adding next generation performance for the colorist, telecine, editor, display house and media distribution/repurposing facility. The Titans are ideal for capture and output, media transcoding, serial/network control, single/dual link, SD/HD/2K support, from compressed, through direct uncompressed capture to file, onto telecine, D-Cinema and providing metadata, LUT support and more.

Titan Series™ models include:

• Typhon™ Dual Link DDR - full featured single or dual channel, single or dual link SD, HD, 2K and HSDL digital disk recorder for SR level broadcast VTR replacement. Complete range of format and standard support.
• Krayken™ Multichannel NAS Solution - featuring up to 12 channels of DV100 NAS-based capture and playback in a compact 15RU footprint, the Krayken™ allows playback during capture (read while write) from multiple inputs for replay or editing.
• Griffin™ Single Link DDR - workhorse internal storage or Fibre Channel-capable SD/HD uncompressed DDR for direct HDCAM / D50 replacement. Wide range of formats, including GEN, JS, DVS, DPX, TGA, TIFF, Cineon and HDR.
• Dragon™ Compressed DDR - entry level, internal storage SD/HD compressed DDR, with support for MOV, AVI, WMV, MXF and YUV formats.
• Kitsune™ Dual Link DDR - application specific external Fibre Channel storage single or dual link SD/HD DDR ideal for installation in a SAN environment. Wide format support and 16 channel embedded audio support.

MediaNXS™

DrasticPreview™ and Preview PRO™

Does your broadcast or production facility collaborate using uncompressed SD/HD/2K/4K media? DrasticPreview™ allows you to use inexpensive VGA/DVI monitors to preview or display these files. This capability eases the bottleneck created by the limited availability of expensive high resolution monitoring equipment and allows your team to focus on the project at hand.

DrasticPreview™ is the basic version, providing VGA/DVI playback for a wide range of files and displaying real time/static data, metadata and other file related information. Preview PRO™ adds a number of other features including cuts only editing, playlist/EDL support, network and RS-422 serial support, and audio/video setup controls.

SyncControl™

For the facility with multiple Drastic DDRs or Drastic DDR software installs including QuickClip™ and MediaNXS™, we offer SyncControl™ for network-based remote control over start capture and start playback.

SyncControl™ allows capture operations to be synchronized between multiple DDRs, so that multiple files share the same time code duration and start frame. Media files present in the devices being controlled may be viewed in sync or offset, for display and monitoring applications.
